We arrived at 10:30 a.m., made cherry jello salad with red grapes, pecans and whole cranberries. We mashed some potatoes and were finally done with our contribution for dinner. We drove to the FEAST at 2:00. Ate our little hearts out-mashed potatoes, fried turkey, ham, crescent rolls, stuffing, sweet potatoes, salad, fruit salad, green bean casserole, sparkling cider, turkey gravy, cookies, pies- and spent some great time with friends (of which, Danny actually knew a couple there from high school. ha! small world). Let's just say after eating all the yummy food we slept extremely well that night.
The next morning we planned to visit the Gore Mansion, but because of the holiday it was closed. We walked around the garden area but we quickly made our way back to the car because I was freezing cold! After some lunch we borrowed the GPS from Daija and headed toward Boston. We set the GPS to avoid toll roads so we ended up driving through neighborhoods and different parts of town. We passed the Harvard business building on the way, which was beautiful, and we got to see a lot of the city. I would love to move to Boston!
Our first stop was Fenway Park. I haven't ever seen a "for real" baseball stadium so it was a new experience for me. There were tours inside the park, but being 10 dollars a person we opted out. We then drove through the HUGE city to get to Faneuil Hall market place. While we walked around the market place so many people commented on how cute Jakob was all snuggly in Danny's jacket. In fact, one group of girls asked to take his picture. He was the main attraction! We also walked to Paul Revere's house and monument, the old north church, and Marks Pastry shop. YUM! For dinner, Daija made us some taco soup....It definitely hit the spot!

On Saturday Jonathon made breakfast: eggs, pancakes, hash browns, orange juice, toast and fruit. WOW! What service! Our plan was to visit Plymouth Rock and drive through Providence, RI on our way home. In Plymouth we found a bunch of family names that Danny is related to. Again, it was cold so we bundled up. We really enjoyed our visit and hope to come back when it's a little warmer.

Wouldn't it have been awesome if we ran into each other in Boston? We did most of our city sight seeing on saturday tho because of the cold/rain/hail on Friday and it sounds like you guys were in plymouth that day. It's funny that you thought the city was huge because we thought it was small! But I'm thinking New York has totally warped our brains. We hope to go back soon because there was tons of stuff we didn't see! And we didn't get to do anything like Plymouth, Lexington, etc.
It was so fun having you here! You'll definitely have to come back when the weather is better.
I think the city looked so big because we avoided all the toll roads on our way to Faneuil park. We actually drove around the city before our destination. But, NY would be something to compare to, so I see your point.
