Easter was different this year. Unfortunately Danny spent his Easter Sunday sick at home, but I went to church with Jakob and had the most amazing experience:
Our ward choir sang the song "Behold the wounds in Jesus' hands" and while singing I proudly testified of that loving Savior who suffered for each and every one of us. The wounds in his hands and feet are symbols of that great experience and through him I am able to repent and live with my Father in Heaven. What a testimony!
I know there is so much more to celebrate than the Easter basket, colored eggs, candy, and possibly an Easter egg hunt, but we continued the tradition in our family and celebrated Jakob's first Easter. Grandma Karen bought him a new outfit and we filled his basket with candy Danny and I both love: cadbury mini's, robin eggs, little egg gumballs, sours, peanut butter eggs, and some little fishy toys that wind up in the bath tub. We enjoyed watching Jakob eat the grass and shake each egg to hear the different noises they made. He was very curious and definitely not afraid to take everything out of the basket, including the grass.

Jakob is growing up so fast.

easter is a wonderful holiday. and it looks like jakob had a whole lot of fun!
ps. i think those shorts are adorable. :)
I love the outfit! Our choir sang the same song on Easter Sunday and though I didn't sing the words (I was accompanying the choir) the music and spirit was definitely there. I am glad you guys had a great Easter with Jakob and I hope Danny is feeling better!
