For the record

We've celebrated 5 years and counting!

Our anniversary landed on a wednesday this year. Probably the worst possible day of the week for us because danny has work meetings every wed at 4:00, getting home just in time to eat dinner and then leave for mutual at 6:00. It's rough. But we managed: Danny canceled going to mutual with the youth and I asked the bishop's daughter-who is taking a break from BYU for the summer-to watch the kids. We WERE going to celebrate our 5th.

For some reason my anniversary day was chaotic. I spent most of the morning TRYING to clean the house, while entertaining and feeding the children at the same time. At noon I headed to my "nanny" job to put jakob down for his nap and watch two of the best behaved children from our ward. (they have early off days on wed. so I watch them until their parents get home) Right after that I headed to my hair appointment, children in tow, to tame the wild locks. Luckily we were the only ones in the salon so Jakob and Molly could make all the noise they could muster up. On our way home we got stuck in traffic for a half hour, due to an accident, and then rushed through the door to get the kids fed, put Jakob in the tub and then in pajamas, and then wait for Danny to come home from work. Somehow I managed, not sure how, but I did.

Danny had plans to take me out, but gave me the option of where to eat by letting me choose to "play it safe" or be"daring". We both decided to be daring so we ended up at a restaurant called Max Fish. It was super classy! It's funny that we decided to be daring by eating fish. Luckily the waitress was really helpful about what options we should choose in order to have a pleasant fish-eating experience. So I ordered the Halibut and Danny ordered the sword fish. WOW! I didn't know I liked halibut-at least the way it was prepared here. It pays to be daring, huh?

After dinner we went to a local farm and ate homemade ice cream. I ended up with two scoops: almond joy and peanut butter swirl with chocolate ice cream. Danny played it safe with moose tracks. It was actually really good! Definitely worth a second or third or fourth trip. :)

Friday the 14th was our 57th anniversary. We celebrated by a trip to the temple to finish some endowment work Marla ask us to do then hurried home so LeGrand could go to work until 10 PM.
Fun huh?

For the record...I am glad that you think my children are well behaved, but you are suppose to tell me when your Aniversary is on a Wed., so I can find someone else! Happy 5 years...we haven't tried Max fish yet, maybe we should. Oh, and I LOVE those green jammies that molly has.
