Thank you everyone who was a part of our Christmas this year! We enjoyed receiving a bit of your love and thoughtfulness.
Jakob woke up around 8:30 and we figured it was a good time to get up. We started with our stockings and then each of us took a turn, starting with Jakob, to open a gift. We had so much fun being together and opening the gifts that our families gave us. Jakob had fun eating the ribbons and paper and had to taste everything he could get his hands on. It was a great first Christmas for Jakob and one that we'll always remember because we were away from our family and friends.
After presents we ate a breakfast casserole and got ready to go to D. Rodney's house (danny's boss). What a thoughtful person to invite us to their house for a catered Christmas dinner. His brother and sister are both chef's so the food was DELICIOUS! We had veggies, cheese and crackers for the appetizer. For dinner we prepared our plates with perfectly cooked beef and salmon; salad with goat cheese, walnuts, beets and a special sauce; homemade bread; twice baked potatoes; sweet potatoes; and we drank all sorts of drinks-water and juice for us :)
We had a great time with the Rodney's and as soon as I get pictures I will post them.
