New York, New York!

What a day!
We left the Connecticut train station at 8:00 and started our day:
-rode train for 1 and 1/2 hours to New York
-arrived in Grand Central station at 9:30
-ate a light breakfast of bagels and o.j.
-walked along New York streets and saw hundreds of huge buildings

Tentative outline:
- Chrysler Building lobby
-American Girl shopping center--tons of fun stuff for little girls!
-Cathedral
-Central park
-Subway
-close look of Empire state building
-saw more buildings...plus bathroom stops
-Brooklyn bridge
-The girls played at a park
-Walked around China town
-Walked through little Italy
-headed home around 8:00
Fondue for lunch-Danny's NEW reason to go to NY
Dumplings in China town-another reason to go to NY. YUM!

What a day! We didn't get to see a lot of the BIG stuff, like Rockefeller park, Empire tour, statue of Liberty, World Trade Center and Times square, but we did enough to start us off. The Rodney family was so good to show us around New York, as well as help us out with the subway. I think I can say we all had a great time! Even his little girls were troopers the whole day and didn't complain...only when they were hungry. I can't wait to go back!

Looks like a good start at checking out the city! It's like nothing else. Hope you come back soon!
