Flash Back Friday: Sharing the load

Danny cooking Sunday brunch.  Riverton, Utah 2007

If there's one thing I love about Danny, it's the fact he cooks and is really good at it!

We moved to a one bedroom duplex in Riverton, UT in 2006.  Danny was finishing his Graduate work at BYU and I was teaching second grade as an intern at Southland Elementary.  Life was busy, but also pretty sweet!  Danny was the main chef of the house.  He did a lot of the cooking because, well, he was better at it. We had a system, though, that made things fair: Danny would cook breakfast while I made the sandwiches and packed the lunches; in the evening, if Danny was home in time, he would make dinner and I would wash the dishes-by hand, mind you; and on Sunday, we would fight over who's turn it was to do the cooking.  Thank goodness for the Sundays we ate with family!

Some of our favorite foods:
grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup
bagel sandwiches
stroganoff with rice
breakfast sandwiches: sausage, egg, cheese, bread-bagel, english muffin, or wheat bread
hamburger helper
pasta
