Random Funnies: "Firetruckman"

There's always someone that wants to be a fireman when he/she grows up.....

Jakob is that one

I have been trying to teach Jakob the importance of staying safe, especially around fire.  We have a gas stove so we talk about fire a lot around here.  Mostly he is interested in the idea of the "firetruckman" putting out the fire.  We talk alot about the firetruck and the ladder that helps firemen get to taller buildings.  Oh, and the hose!  We've got to talk about the hose!

Okay, so Jakob has seen a firetruck and knows what it sounds like.  We've read books about truck equipment and how it is used to help people who are hurt (or a big hurt, as we call it), and now with a little bit of help he can pretend to be one!

He's got the hat.
He knows the sound.
Now he needs a firetruck, hose, and someone to take in fire calls.

Check, Check, and Check:

We're obviously working on how firemen should treat others-not by pushing and shoving their little sisters. :)

P.S. At the end, Jakob is trying to explain to Molly that firemen save people with a big hurt.
