One of the very first things we attended while living on the East Coast was the Hebron Maple Festival. Every year it's a hit or miss for us, depending on the weather, but we usually try to make it out when we can. Jakob had attended a field trip to a maple farm one week prior, so I thought it was fitting to follow up with a family outing to Hebron.
It's amazing that someone decided to transform sticky tree sap into syrup.
I love that the festival happens in March. While it *IS* maple sugar season- the best time to harvest the sap- it is also a kick-off to spring! You know all of us are anxious for SPRING!
It was the perfect opportunity to break free of cabin fever:
