House Updates...finally

Finally, proof of what we have accomplished over the last few months!!!

I have been putting off any posts about the house because I wanted to finish decorating and/or finalizing each room; however, I have come to terms that it's not realistic to keep putting it off.  It's never gonna happen.  

 

So I put together a really REALLY long slideshow from start to finish of all the things we have worked on thus far.  I think I'm happy with it.  I would have loved pottery barn accessories, or a beautiful ikea kitchen, but it didn't happen.  I'm okay with it.  The furniture that we have fits perfectly for now and if we need to, we can add or make changes as we go.  That's just how it's gonna be.  

First, I need to thank everyone who was able to make it out here to help.  I was really intent on finishing quickly so I could claim my life back.  I'm seeing a few normal things trickle back into my regular schedule, like sewing projects and/or other hobbies other than painting.  I'm so sick of painting!  Thank you to moms and dads especially, for your help.  Sometimes, you just need a parent to help you feel like everything is going to be okay.

Also, keep in mind that not all the rooms are finished.  I still have a few projects, like painting the stairs in the hallway and redoing floors and cabinets in the kitchen.  The pictures I have posted will give you a taste of where the house is going.  It will get there.  And when it does, I will have more pictures to post. :)
