Sunday Shenanigans April 2-9 2017

We've got some great milestones to cover this week!  First, Sophia just started riding her bike.  Danny bought her training wheels and now she is loving it!  The kids are good to encourage her and help her get the hang of it.  So helpful.  Sophia is also taking her role of pretend play very serious.  She loves working in her kitchen and taking care of her babies (changing their diapers and feeding them). She always wants someone to sit at her table so she can feed you, or have you look after her babies while she works. Love 3 year olds!

Molly and Jakob had crazy hair day at school this week.  We had to get out the color crayons again for rainbow hair.  Always!  They get to come to Kindercare with me this week (for spring break) and we will be having hat day, crazy hair day, sports day, movie day, pajama day and costume day! They're not too excited about it, but deep down I know they'll have fun!

Jakob made doggy/kitty pancakes from scratch (with a bit of help from sophia).  Rogers Restaurant is in full force around here!

The kids love dancing, avatar, doggie piles, food, and being silly.

Molly had her Salute to America performance this week.  She was so SO sweet to help her friend with autism find her way, remind her where to go/ when to sing, where to stand, when to exit, etc.  The play was all student led (the teachers sat on the side and helped when needed), so it was a big deal for her to remember her own role as well as another person.  It brought tears to my eyes (as her teacher, too, when she mentioned how sweet and special Molly is with Kareen) to know that Molly is so kind and considerate of others and genuinely wants to help those around her.  She is a great girl and a phenomenal performer!  She just loves the stage (much like her mama).  P.S. I missed Molly's speaking part in the show....it was difficult to see past everyone's heads and I didn't notice her come down to speak her part.  Luckily I had her share her line before the show so I at least have it on record.  ha ha
